I've been working on squeezing as much DPS as possible from the general Sabdancer spec, and I've come up with a Puncture-less spec that has been giving me slightly better results on both single and multi-targets. I have humbly interjected my own name into the spec:

The only real change in this from the standard Sabdancer, is that you don't get puncture, and instead get another point in Ambidextrous for 3% more dex. The real refinement is in the rotation:

Spike x4 > Keen > Deadly > Precision > Spike > Detonate
Shrapnel x5 > Detonate

What this does is allow you to use the "extra" Deadly Dance charge in the standard Sabdancer rotation to power a Precision Strike. This offers superior single target damage compared with standard Sabdancer, both by utilizing this strike and by no longer needing to take Puncture, to get more dex.

For AOE situations, such as Zilas and Matron, you can still just drop Precision from your rotation to maximize AOE damage.

This isn't going to move you from #7 to #1 on the damage meters, but it should help you eek out an additional few percentage points of damage. With HK's tight tuning, this can mean the difference between victory and a 1% wipe. Hope it helps!

Some more tuning : if you already have enough hit, just put 2/2 on blade and fury :

For the rotation you just have to switch the order of Keen Strike and the 4 spikes. Otherwise the buff of Blade and Fury is not long enough (15sec).

^^That, was going to post the same thing. Can't believe this switch eluded me so long. I HATE using puncture in my sabdancer build.

I love this new sabdancer build and I parse very well with it. Thanks a lot for posting this and all your information about rogues. I noticed on the other post you said 44 MM was not viable and suggested a 51 MM build. I have been working a long time on finding a viable ranged rogue build that isn't sab oriented. I finally settled on a MM / Sin / NB build.
It gives good single target and decent aoe dps, I parsed over 1k self buffed on boss dummy, mind you my gear isn't the greatest.
For fights that you aren't familiar with but are not going to be bard and want reliable ranged dps with good mobility (you can stand in melee range since we've taken cq combat) and NO PET, check it out:
37 mm / 17 sin / 12 nb

Why on earth would you go 37 in MM? Take 1 point out of NB and go 38 MM for Improved Hit and Run. :)

I originally thought it wasn't that great because you'd almost always be with a chloro or a bard. But after trying it out I managed to get a few hundred more in dps overall even though melted skin procs less. Thanks again for the advice.

Hi I really like your build..finally my dps has improved.

I understand that for opening the rotation works like this:

Spike x4 > Keen > Deadly > Precision > Spike > Detonate
Shrapnel x5 > Detonate

What is the subsequent rotation? Do i repeat the rotation as above?

Question about the rotation as well;

Would it have a greater Dmg efficiency to;

Precision>Detonate,
Spike>Detonate.

Since you have Deadly Dance on?

please help me understand this rotation. why use spike charge when it needs to be detonated to do damage. i understand that deadly dance and deadly strike work together. and keen and precision work together.

but why spikex4>keen>deadly?
