Yes, this spec still works in 1.6 and is more important than ever for surviving alone on Ember Isle, and many other things.

Lightning Ragnarok Shining Majesty
20 BD / 22 RS / 24 Sin
This build's strength lies in its versatility. Here is what I use the spec for currently:

  • Soloing Major Rifts
  • Soloing Ember Isle
  • Handling tomes on Matron Zamira encounter in HK (so I don't have to bring a separate Sin/NB spec)
  • Tanking encounters for which I'm overgeared
  • World PvP (unless it gets serious)

Macro

#show Precision Strike
cast Precision Strike
cast Phantom Blow
cast Puncture
cast Quick Strike
cast Keen Strike
cast Flash of Steel
cast Expose Weakness
cast Reprisal

If you're on something tough, make sure to use Guardian Phase. It reduces the damage you take but the Leaching Poison healing remains constant, so you gain survivability and still deal damage constantly with Planar Vortex. Don't skip the point in Shadow Mastery. This alone is about 10% physical damage reduction.

I have to say I really enjoy this build. It feels right and I am able to handle most things thrown my way. Thanks for the update!!

I tried this build, and I found nothing wrong with it. But 51sin 13BD and 2MM gives me the same survivablity, a little more utility and way more dmg for soloing. You obviously can't tank with it, but for just questing and doing major rifts and some world pvp you can't beat it.

Kind of curious why you switched points out of Blade Tempo and Combat Efficiency. I usually only find myself energy-starved if I'm using finishers, so Combat Efficiency generally seems worthwhile to me.

your link is broken. I click on the link and it just brings up 3 blank trees.

Without a doubt, this build is rediculous fun, and *very* efficient.

Thanks!

Hey I made a similar spec in response to ember isle and after 4/5 of mine were re-rolled to start 1.6. Great build! I've been using waning shadesource and vampiric bloodstone greater essences to up the healing even further, with good results, although leeching poison does most of the work.

I am one of the orig user of this spec from the beginning. The only
thing i cant do is a major rift
on Ember. Major in the old lands
no problem. I am in full r8---
should i swap in some tank gear ?

What would you change out ?

hey, i enjoyed this build on 1.5, but i wonder why u changed ruthless stalker for rift guard on riftslaker and why changed blade tempo and combat efficiency for combat culmination.

Thanks in advance for any further explanation :)

What gear are you in when you do the top level matron tome clicking?

PVP or PVE? If that is true i can replace the shitty SIN/NB spec for good..

Well, Rift Guard seems pretty obvious: you need it in order to get Rift Barrier after 1.6, and Rift Barrier generates some nice passive damage. Something had to go and Ruthless Stalker was probably the least valuable point to give up. But yeah, I was curious about the reason for giving up Blade Tempo and Combat Efficiency?

I do the tome clicking on Matron with mostly PvE DPS gear, and a couple pieces of tank gear for toughness/hp. Its not too tough, but it might be if you're in Raid 1 DPS gear or something.

Never did melee with my Rogue, found Ember Isle was tough on my Ranger spec, so I tried this one out. SO AMAZING! Thank you!

Hiya, and thank you for this build :)

I am a melee noob, having used mm for ages, but soloing 3 ei mobs and living is kinda nice :)

My question is, which finishers are best here, as not too familier with the souls.

Thanks oh thou killing machine.

Personally, if it's a "safe" fight, I just use Deadly Strike for the Deadly Dance bonus. If it's a hard-hitting enemy, I'll throw in False Blade first, because it increases both defense and offense. If it's a "real" fight, I'll use them all, False Blade, Guarded Steel, Annihilate, Dauntless Strike, and Deadly Strike. Refresh as needed. This may not be the "optimal" strategy, but it allows me to solo everything I have any reasonable right to expect to solo, so ... YMMV.

Dun, how much toughness are you sporting for matron 2nd floor? Do you use stalker phase to kill the adds?

Hey.

Just want to say I enjoy using this spec, nice work.

I generally use my full p8 gear instead of my Relic gear, more endurance etc...and it kicks ass.

I used this in a tier 2 just before, just chucked my Tanking shoulders and legs to get the toughness and then I was good to go. I ended up topping dps on every encounter and never lost threat once...oh and I take minimal damage because my dext is so high from the p8 gear, i deflect everything.

I also use the mirror trinket, and 2x heal on deflect essences, shits cash.

Do you suggest any T1 crystal with that spec or it doesn't matter what crystal you are using?

So any more extensive playstyle tips for this other than just 1 macro?

Surely I dont play this by just spamming that?

Dun, do you use energy consumables? Without combat efficiency it feels a bit energy starved.
